Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of all students and staff.
- Love and respect students while teaching them to swim.
- Be a dependable team player.
- Complete required training and embrace continuous learning.

Qualifications:
- Ability to swim is a must.
- Caring and compassionate towards people of all ages and abilities.
- Ability to work in the water for up to 5 hours.
- Strong communication skills.
- Great attitude and willingness to be coached.
- Ability to focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work afternoons and some weekends.
- Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification (training provided for a fee).
- Red Cross Lifeguard certification is desired.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- One year of previous experience working with children is preferred.

Pay:
- New employees must complete paid training and a 90-day probationary period.
- Instructor pay: $14.00 - $18.50 per hour based on experience and availability.
- Annual wage increases.
- Opportunities for additional wage increases, bonuses, awards, and prizes based on performance.

Aquatic Adventures Swim School is Roanoke Valley's ONLY dedicated swim school. We change and enhance lives by providing lifesaving swim skills to children of all ages and abilities. Our dedicated team loves to have fun while providing a safe, educational program. At Aquatic Adventures Swim School, you will have the unique opportunity to hang out in a 90-degree pool, sing while you work and help children learn to swim.

All staff is trained in house to teach the Aquatic Adventures Swim School trademark program. Our consistent, uniform, teaching method provides a more streamlined, effective program. We love children and believe that by learning to swim, children will survive and thrive
