We have signed a new project with an existing client that can start as soon as possible, hopefully by mid-December.

Ascendle will supply an Architect and Delivery Lead.

We are looking for the following roles:

1 Senior Software Engineer - AWS
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications in AWS environments. You will collaborate closely with other technical teams to ensure high availability, performance, and maintainability of applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions for an enterprise SaaS product
  • Work extensively with MS SQL Server, including designing and optimizing complex stored procedures
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications
  • Write and maintain high-quality code using ASP.NET & .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Implement and maintain automated unit testing using frameworks like NUnit
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to deliver high-value software solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software performance and reliability issues
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
  • Optimize applications for performance and scalability in AWS environments
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
Qualifications:
  • Strong MS SQL Server skills (Stored Procedures, SQL)
  • Proficiency in ASP.NET & .NET Core
  • Experience with C#, JavaScript, CSS
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API development and integration
  • Experience with writing automated unit tests using NUnit
  • Hands-on experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • AWS Infrastructure experience, including services such as Lambda, S3, RDS
  • Familiarity with Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in a software development context
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based applications
Nice to haves:
  • Jira and Confluence experience for managing project documentation and tasks
  • Postman for API testing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines)


Will be working closely with client developers.

Candidates will ideally be able to work hours with at least 5 hours of overlap with CST.
