Turbine Technical Advisor

PFES is seeking a Turbine Technical Advisor to support upcoming fall outage in 2024 and the spring outage in 2025.

Will start Mid August and work through end of may. Fall Outage is October 15th to December 19th and Spring Outage is scheduled for January 18th to March 23rd. Remote work will be allowed or a break during holidays and then close out and additional work that is identified which will last through May.

12 hour shift 6-6 and 13 on and 1 day off. This will be on the night shift 6 PM to 6 AM.

Per diem is available at $166/per day for 7 days per week.

Job Description:

Support execution of retrofit projects including installation, power up, and commissioning of GE Gas Turbines

Be responsible for pre-planning, site scheduling, field engineering, commissioning, control system startup, and project handover to customers.

Works closely with project managers, customers, and supplier representatives to ensure financial performance, quality project installation, timeliness

Timely completion of service time sheets, trip reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements including pre-mobilization and de-mobilization meetings and procedures.

Turbine Engineers specialize in assessing, repairing, and exchanging mechanical system components, including main bearing systems, yaw systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, cooling systems, blades, and structural components.

Key responsibilities include technical direction and management of gas turbine maintenance outages (e.g., Combustion, Hot Gas Path, Major Inspection, Generator).

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial automation or Electronic Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.

Must have experience with GE Turbines in outage situations
