  • Assist in Delivering Reading Interventions: Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted reading instruction based on assessment data, under the direction of certified teachers or specialists.
  • Follow Intervention Plans: Implement specific reading strategies and interventions outlined by the classroom teacher, reading specialist, or intervention team.
  • Monitor Student Progress: Collect and record data on student performance during interventions to monitor progress and help adjust instructional strategies.
  • Support Classroom Instruction: Provide support during literacy blocks or reading instruction periods, reinforcing concepts and helping struggling readers.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers, reading specialists, and administrators to align interventions with classroom instruction and district literacy goals.
  • Engage in Professional Development: Participate in training related to reading intervention strategies, literacy programs, and assessment tools.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Handle sensitive student information with discretion, following school and district policies.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Possess a good work attitude with a positive and pleasant disposition in relating to staff, students and the public
  • The ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds is an essential job requirement
  • Capable of physical exertion to manually lift, push, pull, bend and carry
  • Must submit and pass background check
