About Us: Hotel Emporium is seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant, to support our sales team. This role involves assisting with customer service, contacting customers, cost and price calculations, generate price quotes to customers, and communicate with manufacturing facilities. The goal is to deliver high-class customer service, facilitating smooth sales processes, and contributing to company growth through sales and revenue maximization. Your primary role is to support the SVP of Sales with their day-to-day tasks and communication and follow up work.

As Sales Assistant, you should possess an extraordinary ability to communicate efficiently and have good organizational skills. You should also have excellent data entry skills and the ability to work full time hours on a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Stay updated with product information.
  • Actively involved in receiving and processing sample requests
  • Follow up with PO and other operational needs
  • Accurately describe product features and benefits
  • Follow all companies' policies and procedures.
  • Learn and stay updated with cost calculation methods used by the company.
  • Assist in organizing sales events, trade shows, or marketing campaigns, including preparing promotional materials and setting up displays.
  • Follow up with customers after sales to ensure customer satisfaction, address any issues or concerns, and provide post-sales support or assistance.
  • Provide administrative support to the SVP of Sales, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, responding to emails, and preparing reports.
  • Assist the SVP of Sales with day-to-day tasks and any special projects as needed.

Requirements and skills

  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Be proficient in both English & Spanish orally and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to track sales and maintain a well-organized work environment.
  •  Ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Customer service focus with a friendly, helpful, confident, and engaging personality
  • Basic administration skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including a friendly and approachable demeanor and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Active listening skills to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Basic knowledge of sales techniques and the ability to effectively promote products or services.
  • Attention to detail to accurately process transactions and handle paperwork.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and point-of-sale software.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing sales environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills to handle simple calculations.

Qualifications

  • High school degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of office skills experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using Excel, Microsoft and PowerPoint
