Job Purpose:

Our Senior Tax Consultant will ensure compliance with US Federal, state and local tax laws, reporting requirements and tax payment requirements for the Company. This role will support the Tax Department's leadership in completing projects under all assigned areas of tax compliance, planning, financial reporting, IRS and state and local audit defense. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse clientele.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare all federal, state, and local income tax reporting and related workpapers including: the consolidated return, ASC 740 tax provision calculations, estimated payments, extension calculations, amended returns, Earnings & Profit calculations, purchase accounting, net operating losses, tax basis balance sheets, subsidiary basis calculations, acquisition related disclosures, estimates for the income tax provision, account reconciliations, analysis and journal entries.
• Assist in defending the Company's tax positions during IRS and state and local audits and in responding to IRS/state notices.
• Prepare projections of taxable income and worldwide cash taxes. Maintain projections models used for tax planning purposes.
• Document the Company's positions with regard to income tax exposures (FIN 48). Update quarterly and prepare related journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Work with the Fixed Asset Department to provide technical expertise, interpretation and application of tax law with regard to Fixed Assets in designing systems, policies and tax positions.
• Assist International Tax team as needed.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• At least 1 year experience in a Big 4 tax department with 2+ years preferred.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure accurate and efficient tax preparation and advisory services.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax staff.
• Participate in internal training and development sessions.

• CPA Preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1-3 years of related job experience.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.

• Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.

• Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong planning and organization skills are required.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree

• Master's Degree Preferred
