Overview: Listerhill Credit Union is a financial cooperative whose primary purpose is to help our members live financially healthy lives. In 1952, seven Reynolds Metals employees deposited $5 each with the idea of starting a credit union that was member-owned and member-focused. Helping co-workers break from predatory lenders to borrow affordably and save for their financial futures, was their motivation. The Role: Your efforts and ultimate successes should be measurable and recognizable as you strive daily within LCU's vision: "to value people over profit, proactively seek improvement, work passionately, exceed expectations, and make our community a better place". As a Systems Specialist you will be responsible for making modifications and enhancements to existing programs as well as developing new programs in order to streamline processes and meet business requirements.

What you will do:

  • IT subject matter expert for core software, account and loan opening systems
  • Coordinate, manage, and lead technical support for new products, software, upgrades, or equipment.
  • Configure systems for optimal end user support, including disaster recovery and scheduled downtime plans.
  • Review, back up, and update systems regularly, test, documenting changes and system operation.
  • Work directly with system owners to develop and meet business requirements
  • Work closely with vendors on any third-party changes that may be needed for connectivity and functionality as they relate to system processes
  • Closely monitor job scheduler to ensure all jobs are processed and any job failures are resolved
  • Monitor ticketing system to ensure all requests and handled in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant industry standards, best practices, business processes and technology used within related business areas to ensure compliance with policy, vendor contractual requirements, procedures, processes and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience
  • Associates degree in a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in data mining, big data, and database administration
  • Some Programming (Java, HTML, .NET), XML, and Forms experience
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Must have the ability to relate appropriately with all levels of the organization
  • Familiarization with Jack Henry Symitar systems, IMM Totale Product Suite, Liquid Office, Linux, UNIX, SQL databases and Microsoft Windows Servers a plus
  • Must successfully complete appropriate LCU assessments
