Description

BMA is seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) II to support the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD location.

Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of engineering tasks to a lesser degree than the Level III Systems Engineer. The work requires intermediate application of standard engineering methods, procedures, techniques, criteria, and programs. Provides professional engineering support performing tasks that are specific and broad in scope but increasing in complexity. Tasks are designed to enable increasing independent accomplishment. Assignments are screened for unusual or difficult problems and techniques. Receives supervisory oversight on new aspects of assignments.

Clearance Requirements

There is a Secret security clearance requirement upon hire for this position.

Required Skills & Certifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in the area of system development and/or developmental/operational testing of Department of Defense systems.
  • Additional Specialized Experience includes supporting Operational effectiveness evaluation of Directed Energy systems, subsystems, and components to include:
    • Conduct of developmental test (DT), operational test (OT), and evaluation methods to include test and evaluation (T&E) planning, test execution, data collection during test, evaluation of test or modeling data, and development of evaluation analysis plans and reports.
    • Interpretation, application, and integration of system acquisition documentation in the development of system acquisition products for T&E to include DoD, Army, and Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) regulations, pamphlets, instructions, and guidance.
    • Application of system-level metrics at various stages of the acquisition process to include the Material Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, Engineering and Manufacturing Development, and Production and Deployment phases.
    • Test methods, infrastructure, and capability gaps related to system/program testing and processes.
    • Oral and written communication to include briefings and writing technical papers such as evaluation plans, evaluation reports, TPs (DT or OT), and safety documents.
