Job SummaryThe Assistant Operations Manager-PTS is responsible for leading the Parking Enforcement and Operations Dispatch team at Georgia Tech (Day Shift team or Evening Shift team). The Asst. Manager will provide leadership and expertise regarding the enforcement and education of campus parking rules and regulations; resolve parking concerns and help facilitate access for guest and community members to their campus destination. The Asst. Manager will utilize a customer-first approach that ensures customer satisfaction is maximized by fostering a team environment that values integrity and service excellence through collaboration with departmental peers and staff. The Asst. Manager will interact with a variety of campus partners such as Athletics, Police and campus community members and guests. This position reports to the Director of Parking. This position will supervise: assigned PTS staff.
ResponsibilitiesJob Duty 1 -
Manage team that oversees parking enforcement and dispatch operations to ensure adherence to proper operational procedures in accordance with GT policies and established parking rules and regulations.
Job Duty 2 -
Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, and providing feedback.
Job Duty 3 -
Serve as the main point of contact for management and needs related to parking enforcement and operations dispatch.
Job Duty 4 -
Provide support to the enforcement and dispatch teams during high-demand periods.
Job Duty 5 -
Collect, verify, and analyze parking citation and dispatch call data. Provide senior management with reporting and data submissions on a weekly basis
Job Duty 6 -
Establish collaborative partnerships with department and campus partners.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Valid State of Georgia Motor Vehicle Driver's License
Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education institution
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in related field.
Proficiency in AIMS or other Parking Management systems.
Preferred Experience
Knowledge/experience working with PARCS equipment.
ABILITIES
Essential duties require working in inclement weather; must be flexible to help cover shifts as needed, on occasion that could include evenings and weekends.; Ability to lift barricades/signs weighing at least 50 pounds; Drive department carts and vehicles; Use computer, cell phone, radios and other technical tools to facilitate duties.
KNOWLEDGE
This job requires a working knowledge of the current best parking industry practices; The ability to multi-task, and attention to detail is required.
Additionally, this position requires the ability to stay calm in stressful, fast-paced situations, and must be able to rapidly adapt to changes in the work environment.
SKILLS
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Organizational skills to effectively manage parking operations.
Leadership skills to hire, train and supervise a team of professional employees.
Interpersonal skills: Work effectively and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
