Description

Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Outpatient Orthopedic Associates team in Glastonbury, CT. The ideal candidate will assist in performing assessments, determining treatment plans, and providing physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a physical therapist. A graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association school and Connecticut state licensure is required for this position. If you are passionate about helping patients restore their physical function and independence, we encourage you to join our team.

Overview

  • Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist
  • Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills appropriate for the patient population
  • Document treatment interventions and communicate information relevant to patient care to ensure effective service delivery
  • Coordinate activities of rehab aides, students, and other support personnel if needed
  • Demonstrate efficient utilization of products, supplies, equipment, and time to meet productivity targets
  • Employ established safety precautions and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and co-workers

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program with an Associates degree required
  • Connecticut state licensure required
