Working/Functional Title Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology-HP or TS Position Summary Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine's Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology Service is on the lookout for a passionate part-time (Health Programs Clinical Track) or full-time (Health Programs Clinical or Tenure Track) faculty member. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level to help shape our clinical service, teaching, and research mission. Why MSU? We offer a flexible appointment that aligns with your professional goals, allowing you to focus on teaching, clinical work, or research---whatever inspires you most Collaborative research is encouraged, but not mandatory. The position has the flexibility to be less than a full-time appointment and will be assigned based on the goals of the candidate and the needs of the department. Unique Imaging Experience The Diagnostic Imaging Service at MSU handles over 12,000 cases annually, offering diverse opportunities for specialization in various species and diagnostic modalities. Our dedicated imaging team consists of three part-time radiologists, an intern, Radiology Service Manager, PACS administrator, and wonderful team of nurses, sonographers, radiographers and a veterinary assistant. We are actively pursuing a residency in diagnostic imaging. Our service is supplemented by teleradiology to efficiently manage caseloads and enhance teaching, research, and outreach opportunities for on-site faculty. Notably, this position does not require on-call responsibilities, and we offer flexible on-site hours. Cutting-Edge Technology: Our department features advanced imaging equipment, including: A new 3T Phillips 7700 MRI 64-slice GE Revolution EVO CT MIE Gamma camera with Scintron VI GE Innova digital interventional fluoroscopy suite Mobile GE 9900 Elite C-ARM fluoroscopy unit Visaris Vision Air overhead large animal radiology suite Multiple ultrasound (two Aplio 700, one GE logic S8) units and Three small animal radiology (two Canon, one Konica) suites Future initiatives include the addition of a Qualibra large-bore standing and recumbent large animal CT and access to veterinary PET/MRI.
