Location: Bronx, NY
Type: 13-week Contract, extension eligible
Schedule: 3x12, Day 7am - 7:30pm Rotating weekends
Weekly Pay Rate: $3,240
Overview: PICU nurses care for the most severely ill children and adolescents who need the highest level of medical care.

Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Nursing
  • NYS License Registered Nurse
  • Valid AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS
  • IV Certification
  • 2 years of pediatric ICU experience
Responsibilities
  • Typical nursing duties include measuring blood pressure, following oxygen levels, tracking urine output, inserting IVs, changing wound dressings, administering antibiotics, adjusting ventilators, and analyzing lab results
  • Calculating drug dosage, titrating medication doses, administering continuous medication infusion and monitoring patients for the effects of medication
  • Maintain patient hemodynamic stability with proper nursing interventions as ordered
  • Prepares, administers, and records any additional prescribed medications
  • Monitor, adjust and manage ventilator settings
