The Capstone Chair is vital in guiding students through their Capstone Project. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance through various communication platforms such as mail, Microsoft Teams, telephone conferences, email, and/or via the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assisting the student in refining or redirecting the proposal.
  • Providing expertise in research methodology in the Capstone Project.
  • Giving timely feedback on written drafts, ensuring proper content and depth in the project.
  • Ensuring compliance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements throughout the project.
  • Regularly scheduling and attending DNAP Capstone Committee meetings.
  • Tracking student progress towards the completion of DNAP Capstone Project requirements.
  • Attending the DNAP Capstone presentation if possible.

As a Capstone Chair at Keiser University, you'll play a critical role in guiding our students as they navigate the demanding terrain of their Capstone Projects. Your mission will be to provide unparalleled mentorship, assisting students in refining or redirecting their proposals and employing your expertise in research methodology to help shape and steer their work. Communication will be key in this role, and you'll be expected to hold regular meetings with students, providing advice and feedback via channels such as email, Microsoft Teams, and our Learning Management System (LMS).

To ensure high-quality Capstone Projects, you'll need to offer feedback promptly and thoughtfully, keeping a keen eye on content and depth. But your role extends beyond the project itself, as you'll also need to ensure full compliance with our Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements throughout the proposal, project development, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination stages.

Furthermore, you will be tasked with tracking students' progress, ensuring they meet the DNAP Capstone Project requirements. Your presence at the DNAP Capstone presentation would also be appreciated if possible.

Capstone Chair must be a CRNA and have a doctoral degree.
