ECS is seeking a SharePoint Server Admin to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking a qualified SharePoint Server Admin to help support the SharePoint on-prem infrastructure (unclassified and classified environments) at a major Department of Energy Laboratory in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be responsible for the O&M tasks, such as handling tier-3 tickets, patching, and upgrades for the environments. Some after-hours work will be required in support of the team. The candidate will need to be a highly motivated and self-driven individual with a strong background in Information Technology and would need to work well in a team environment, learn new concepts quickly, and work independently on tasks.
  • Tasks assigned from a variety of sources to include Email, IM, phone, ticketing systems and in person.
  • Self-identify projects and also receive them from the customers.
  • Perform server administration, software installs and configuration, hardware installs and configuration, software troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Work directly with RedHat Satellite. We use various methods to record work done (ticketing system, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Candidate will need the ability to partner with other IT teams such as corporate cyber security, firewall and proxy teams.
  • Work directly with vendors to solve complex hardware and software issues.
  • All work will need to be performed onsite due to the nature of this work.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems plus 2 years related experience; OR an Associate's degree in related field plus 5 years' experience; OR eight (8) years' experience in a similar field
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with SharePoint on-premises
  • Experience solving tier-3 SharePoint tickets
  • Experience administering on-premises SharePoint 2016
  • Windows Server patch management
Desired Skills:
  • Experience administering on-premises Microsoft services, including but not limited to: PowerBi Report Server, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in an ITIL centered environment
  • Aptitude for learning quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate and complete tasks from multiple sources, including ticketing systems and email
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Virtualized server administration
  • Automating business processes utilizing Microsoft services such as: PowerShell, Power Automate, Azure Applications, etc.
