Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in residents.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing challenges.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive resident care.
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on strategies to improve communication and swallowing functions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to the overall quality of care provided to residents.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current California license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in speech therapy.
