Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist professionally represents Americollect's mission, values, and culture in cultivating relationships with prospective employees and professional contacts. This individual leverages internal and external opportunities to build awareness of the company's employment brand in addition to performing all activities associated with the talent acquisition life cycle.
Role Responsibilities:
- Establishes partnerships with hiring leaders by strategizing talent acquisition approaches based upon identified needs, maintaining transparent communication, and exchanging constructive feedback. Proactively educates and redirects leaders by sharing recruitment regulations, knowledge, and trends. May develop or assist with facilitating talent selection trainings for groups of leaders.
- Leverages resources, including online tools, to source passive interest, creating and maintaining a healthy network of contacts that can serve as a pipeline of talent for existing and future needs of the organization.
- Proactively and creatively advertises job opportunities internally and externally, leveraging a variety of online job posting platforms with proven returns on investment. Partners with Communications/Marketing to develop targeted marketing plans to attract talent via print, social media, and other advertising methods.
- Promptly responds to active interest in job opportunities by making contact and establishing rapport with applicants. Shares appropriate company and industry insights with candidates and offers detailed explanations of the total rewards offered to employees. Creates meaningful touchpoints throughout the talent acquisition life cycle to build engagement.
- Contributes to the research, development, and/or implementation of selection tools, such as interview guides and skills assessments, with an emphasis on creating a positive recruitment experience for all.
- Coordinates and facilitates interviews and other selection tools, gathering details about the background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and motivation of candidates. Makes assessments of the candidate's predicted success in the job based upon this information, making recommendations to leadership.
- Performs pre-employment checks to confirm eligibility for hire, which may include gathering education and employment verifications, researching criminal history, and contacting professional references.
- Collaborates with leadership to develop and present offers for employment, strategically and tactfully negotiating as appropriate.
- Participates in the onboarding of new employees by communicating with hiring leaders and facilitating orientations and partnership program events. Makes recommendations for modifying these programs to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Contributes to retention initiatives by facilitating stay interviews and exit interviews, compiling trending feedback, and presenting insights to leadership.
- Manages and proposes programs, such as the employee referral program, to promote Americollect's employment brand and job opportunities. Develops cost estimates and budgets as appropriate. Collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to develop programming collateral.
- Develops relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, and other targeted groups for the purpose of bringing awareness to Americollect. Professionally represents Americollect's mission, values, and culture in coordinating on-site visits or traveling to off-site events such as job fairs, interview events, and classroom presentations.
- Leverages the Human Capital Management System and other tools to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts, producing routine reports to supply leadership with valuable insights. Ensures that all applicant information and activity is documented in the HCMS. Makes recommendations for optimizing the system to create efficiencies in the recruitment function.
- Ensures all recruitment processes are compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
- Preferred Education: Two Years of College or Associate's Degree Or Comparable Experience
- Focus: Human Resources or other relevant field
- 1+ years of experience working in a professional administrative setting.
- 1+ year(s) of experience recruiting for high-volume positions preferred
- Knowledge of emerging recruitment and engagement strategies preferred
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Proficient in leveraging Human Capital Management Systems, preferred
- Completion of training focusing on active listening, communication, and negotiation preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
