Natural ability to create a cozy and welcoming ambiance for guests Responsibilities include: • Providing a warm welcome by setting up the dining area promptly, maintaining a clean workspace, handling room service and cashier tasks • Embracing the Host/Hostess role by managing reservations, seating guests, offering beverages, providing recommendations, addressing inquiries, greeting guests with a smile, and even sharing weather updates • Prioritizing safety and security by strictly following hotel protocols, proactively identifying issues, and promptly reporting concerns to management Responsibilities: • Greet every arriving guest warmly with a friendly and welcoming demeanor at the host stand. • Utilize the Resy Reservation system effectively to manage the floor plan. • Assist in clearing tables as required during service. • Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule, being available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Perform effectively under high-demand situations. Qualifications: • A high school education or equivalent is preferred for this Host-Hostess position in Fairport, NY, US. • Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. • The role requires the ability to work long hours when needed. • Physical demands include light work such as lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, as well as the ability to multitask. • Candidates should be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body and arms, work in varying temperatures and noise levels. • Near Vision is necessary for seeing details at close range. • The job involves standing and walking for extended periods of time. • Fluency in English is a must. • The role may involve working in stressful, high-pressure situations. • Multi-tasking skills are essential for this position. Compensation: $15.25 - $16.50 hourly
