Job specification

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med Surg/Telemetry patients, including patient assessment, monitoring, and vital signs management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, identifying and addressing any cardiac irregularities promptly.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and health management strategies.
Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; an Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) is acceptable with relevant experience. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry or related nursing specialty. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
