SUMMARY

We're seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Network Administrator to join our IT Team here in Cartersville. You will be assisting in the design, implementation, maintenance and optimization of our company's network infrastructure. If you're entry-level and looking to advance your career. RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
    • Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic patterns, and assist in troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal operation and uptime
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
    • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including resolving network-related issues, configuring network devices, and troubleshooting connectivity problems
    • Assist in the documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity of operations
    • Collaborate with other IT staff to support the implementation of new technologies, projects, and initiatives
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in network administration to enhance skills and knowledge
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Strong interest in networking technologies and network administration
    • Basic knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and VPNs
    • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, PingPlotter)
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
    • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of network administration
