Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and Tidelands Health Emergency Department to coordinate services for emergency room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and emergency department staff.

NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position, and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time in the Tidelands Health Emergency Department. Once located in the Tidelands Health Emergency Department, the ideal candidate must be available for 2nd shift work weekdays and/or weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety. Peer Support Credentials preferred. Requires basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred.

Once located in the Tidelands Health Emergency Department, the ideal candidate must be available for 2nd shift work weekdays and/or weekends.
