Position Summary:

The psychiatric nurse practitioner is responsible for providing direct client service. The clinician works with other clinicians (physicians, therapists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and/or dietitians) in providing comprehensive treatment to the client.

Schedule:

1.0 FTE (40 hours a week). Flexible start and end time 8a-4p or 9a-5p.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts client assessments and from assessment findings develops, implements, and coordinates services, and monitors and evaluates individualized treatment plans for those clients assigned to her or his caseload
  • Evaluates and assesses clients’ need or options for medication management, prescribes medications, and monitors on a regular basis.
  • Collaborates with the Emily Program staff and community professionals including physicians, therapists, social workers, dietitians, and community agencies in coordinating client care services and maintaining continuity of care
  • Participates in client case consultation
  • Skilled in developing effective relationships with clients, co-workers, or families; actively listening to develop a positive connection
  • Helps to cultivate an environment of client-centered care that includes confidentiality, support, trust and mutual respect
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner education program
  • State Medical License & Board Certification
  • Current Basic Life Support certification required (American Heart Association) within 14 days from date of hire
