As an Independent Licensed Therapist, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients in an in-person, office-based environment. This position is within our Refresh Mental Health (RMH) organization, which provides a variety of behavioral and mental health treatments, including individual and group therapy, medication management, and intensive outpatient programs. We seek a full-time and part-time Independent Licensed Therapist for our Andover, Massachusetts location.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders

  • Provide treatment for a variety of mental health conditions using treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods

  • Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications

You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications:

  • Clear and active LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT licensed in Massachusetts

  • Experience with health psychology

  • Proven ability to work with patients in person and telehealth

  • Proven comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations

  • Onsite in Andover, MA

  • Telehealth option 1-2 days a week if full-time. Additional days on-site

Preferred Qualification:

  • 2+ years of clinical experience treating patients with behavioral health conditions

  • Experience working with children or adolescents

  • Experience with couples or family counseling

  • Hospital based experience

  • Proven ability to maintain effective and professional relationships with patient and other members of the care team

  • Proven solid computer and basic technology skills

  • Proven solid grasp of technology solutions and tools and ability to adapt

  • Proven evidence of working effectively and collaboratively with colleagues

  • Proven to be self-motivated, ambitious, and able to quickly build rapport with clients
