What You'll Do

As a Jira Admin/Product Owner, you will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Jira platform to support agile project management practices. Additionally, you will deliver comprehensive training sessions to ensure that team members are proficient in utilizing Jira to streamline workflows, track project progress, and enhance collaboration.
• Create and conduct training sessions for team members at all levels to promote efficient utilization of Jira.
• Manage a backlog of Jira tickets; prioritize with another Admin and meet SLAs to deliver the Jira Help tickets, aligning with Agile principles.
• Configure, customize, and administer Jira to meet the evolving needs of the organization in tandem with another Jira Admin.
• Implement best practices for Jira usage and ensure adherence to agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.
• Manage user permissions, workflows, and integrations within the Jira environment.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Jira users, addressing issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain documentation, guidelines, and training materials for Jira usage.
• Conduct training sessions for team members at all levels to promote efficient utilization of Jira.
• Continuously assess and improve Jira processes to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on the latest features and updates in the Jira ecosystem, recommending enhancements as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Jira and agile methodologies, offering guidance and mentorship to team members.

What You'll Bring
• Background in training/coaching for tooling.
• Strong facilitation skills with large groups of varying levels within an organization.
• Proven experience as a Jira Administrator, with a strong understanding of its configuration and administration capabilities.
• Expertise in agile methodologies and their application within project management.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement Jira workflows, custom fields, and automation rules.
• Experience in delivering training sessions or workshops, with excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Jira-related issues and providing effective solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Agile certification or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification nice to have.
• Systems thinking mindset with the ability to understand complex interdependencies and optimize processes accordingly.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $45 to $60/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
