Description

Our Client, a leader in commercial real estate and facilities/asset management is seeking to add a Building Engineer to its team. This role will work onsite in North Charleston, SC and works Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm. This is a 6-month contract to hire role that pays $27.95 per hour. The key to this role is general maintenance, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, as well as HVAC experience. Upon conversion this role offers increased compensation,an annual bonus plan, and a strong benefit package.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine HVAC maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Conduct fire extinguisher inspections, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order and compliant with regulations.
  • Carry out fire alarm inspections to verify functionality and compliance.
  • Handle general maintenance tasks as required across facilities.
  • Perform general electrical work, including maintenance and repairs of light fixtures and ceiling lighting.
  • Deliver safety briefings at all job sites to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Drive between various sites as part of daily responsibilities, ensuring timely and efficient service.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • High School Diploma or GED, trade school preferred
  • General maintenance, electric, plumbing knowledge
  • HVAC experience
Preferred Skills:
  • EPA certification preferred
  • CFC license preferred
  • Customer service skills
