Injection Mold Manager

1. Lead troubleshooting, quality improvement, cost reduction, tool change time improvement, processing parameters, efficient scheduling, and upgrades to presses or ancillary equipment for the presses (robots, hot runners, etc)

2. Work with corporate engineering and customer side engineers in tool design, construction, at early design and pre-production phases

3. Visit tool shops during both pre-production phase as well as during tool refurbishments as they arise

4. Assist in all injection molding quote activities including equipment tonnage requirements, shot sizes, cycle times, scrap rates, resin recommendations, etc. Have a full understanding of tool design needs and parameters including limit switches, manifolds, hydraulic lines / plumbs, cylinders, ejectors / tool action.

5. Work with maintenance to create, or embolden, a critical spares list, preventative and predictive maintenance intervals

6. Have a full understanding of ancillary equipment required such as robots, end of arm tooling, etc. for efficiency gains.

7. Support, as required, injection mold equipment at other Superior Trim locations, as well as research and recommend equipment purchases as needs arise

8. Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.

9. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

10. Provides processing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.

11. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
