Day to day as a Route Driver

As a new Route Driver at Viking Coca-Cola, you can expect an exhilarating routine that keeps you on your toes Your day will kick off early, as you prepare your delivery truck, ensuring it's stocked with our refreshing products and ready to hit the road. Each day from Monday to Friday brings a variety of delivery stops, allowing you to engage with customers and showcase your exceptional service skills.

You'll navigate through dynamic routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and efficiency. As you build relationships with our valued clients, you'll also stay problem-solving focused, addressing any challenges that arise with a positive attitude. Rest assured, your day will be fast paced yet rewarding, and by the time you return to the depot, you'll know you've made a difference in your community

What you need to be successful

To excel as a Route Driver at Viking Coca-Cola, you'll need a unique blend of skills and qualifications. A valid Commercial Driver's License is essential to hit the road confidently, ensuring you comply with all safety regulations. Your keen understanding of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques will keep you and your cargo safe while navigating various routes. Strong written and organizational skills are vital as you'll be responsible for completing paperwork accurately and efficiently. Communication is key, as you'll regularly interact with customers to build lasting relationships and address any concerns.

Additionally, basic math skills will come in handy when managing invoicing and ensuring financial accuracy in your transactions. With these skills in your toolkit, you'll be well-equipped to thrive in this exciting and dynamic role

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Requires a valid Commercial Driver's License.
  • Satisfactory completion of Motor Vehicle Check required according to the Vehicle Safety Policy.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
  • Requires written and organization skills to complete paperwork in a decipherable manner.
  • Requires strong communication skills.
  • Requires basic math skills for invoicing.
