TPA Tech Services Associate

**Role must be worked on site at our Chicopee office location**
Responsibilities:
- Supports the managed care manager and supervisor, and utilization review staff.
- Log First Reports of Injury into claims system.
- Review, accept and assign treatment request to the utilization review nurse within time frames of the Department of Industrial Accident standards.
- Answers office phone and directs calls appropriately while maintaining accurate system notes and data entry.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Scanning duties may include confidential documentation such as medical records and treatment determinations to providers, attorneys, nurse case managers and assigned claims personnel.
- Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and other communications timely.
- Assist with set up and coordination of meetings and conferences.
- Assist with the utilization review manager and supervisor developing monthly reports for internal management and external customers.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Must have experience with administrative and office management. Insurance industry experience is preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures.
- Knowledge of consumer service practices and principles.
- Strong keyboard skills.
- Good communication skills and professional personal presentation.
- Organizing, planning, and customer service orientation
- Detail oriented with the ability to organize effectively.
- Should be honest, respectful, and trustworthy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment without direct supervision and able to demonstrate considerable initiative.
