What you will be doing

As our Procurement Specialist, you will be ensuring the timely acquisition of raw materials and resale products, equipment, and services for our chemical manufacturing and distribution business. Specifically, this will include:
  • Developing sourcing strategies and researching new suppliers;
  • Managing inventory levels and placing refill orders;
  • Preparing routine bid specifications and managing bid processes;
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders;
  • Obtaining quotations, prices, and specifications from suppliers;
  • Coordinating with vendors and internal departments regarding incoming shipments; and,
  • Other duties as needed.
Who we are looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree;
  • At least three years' purchasing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Strong PC skills with the ability to learn new software quickly;
  • Negotiation skills; and,
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday day shift located at the Palm Commodities International, LLC facility. The facility is a Drug-Free Workplace, and pre-employment drug testing is required.

We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance options, vision insurance, dental insurance, company paid life insurance and short/long term disability insurance, voluntary critical illness and accident insurance, and a 401K Plan with employer matching and profit-sharing eligibility.
