Dock Assembler

Position Summary Performs any combination of the essential duties and responsibilities of marina construction and floating dock installation while on project site. Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and may be subject to a background check and random drug screening per our Drug Free Workplace policy. Dependability for work schedule is crucial. This position is mainly travel-based, employee must be comfortable with frequent travel to job sites including out-of-state travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• • Performs construction of marinas by installing floating docks in the water at the job site per direction of Crew Lead and/or Site Manager;
  • Operates equipment and machinery in a knowledgeable, safe, and effective manner;
  • Follows and applies safety rules and techniques;
  • Reports any problems with construction duties to supervisor;
  • Ability to travel and stay at jobsite for prolonged periods of time,
  • May operate forklift to transport floats; places and aligns floats into correct order and position, per direction of Crew Lead and/or Site Manager;
  • Uses hardware, such as bolts, washers, rods, lumber, and uses necessary hand tools;
  • Positions and fastens all required hardware and materials onto floats using wrenches, rubber mallets, and other appropriate tools, ensuring floats are assembled correctly; and
  • Self-Motivator, ability to keep active, or search for direction towards completion of work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: BMI offers a competitive wage and benefits package; wages are dependent upon experience.
