Job Description for the FTC Release Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Senior Release Manager is responsible for coordinating software release changes for all new and existing Santander Consumer applications. The role ensures that resources, timelines, and the overall quality of the SDLC and Release Management processes are considered and followed. The Senior Release Manager will also provide proof to Audit on demand that all relevant processes were followed.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintain the software release schedule for all software releases to ensure alignment across partners and internal technology teams.
  • Provide documentation and support multiple concurrent software releases through various production test environments.
  • Coordinate releases and communicating release status to stakeholders
  • Plan and coordinate deployment windows (Release Calendar maintenance)
  • Ensure compliance in release-related documentation in accordance with polices and controls.
  • Initiating and overseeing the development of Implementation plans
  • Gather and present evidence to Audit that releases follow the SDLC and Release Management processes
Other Functions:
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
  • May assist in other related departments as required by business needs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in information technology
  • 5+yr previous experience with software release and/or project management experience preferred.
  • 3+yr experience as software developer or software business analyst, preferred.
  • Understanding of ITIL Change Management processes, preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of source control tools
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional work teams up to task completion
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills
