Job Description

What you'll do:

•Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory.

•Develop and maintain a technical understanding of the products being purchased.

•Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities to optimize procurement strategies.

•Source and acquire materials, components, equipment, and services from approved vendors and suppliers.

•Identify and develop new supply sources when existing vendors and suppliers are inadequate.

•Monitor the cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure high quality and best value.

•Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements through make-versus-buy analysis and alternative sourcing.

•Evaluate and assess vendors based on predetermined criteria to ensure reliability and performance.

•Maintain accurate records and documentation of purchasing activities, contracts, and agreements.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address purchasing-related issues and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

What you'll bring:

•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

•0-2 years of work experience in purchasing, procurement, or a similar role.

•Basic understanding of purchasing principles, theories, and concepts.

•Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

•Effective communication and negotiation skills.

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•Willingness to learn and adapt to company processes and procedures.

•Openness to receiving feedback and willingness to improve.
