POSITION SUMMARY:

The Occupational Therapist screens, evaluates and treats patients/residents, documents services and communicates with families and interdisciplinary team members while facilitating optimization of patient/resident participation in activities of daily living.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide professional Occupational Therapy services
  • Completes documentation accurately and timely
  • Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives
  • Works efficiently and effectively whole utilizing facility resources responsibly
  • Complies with all facility policies and procedures
  • Supervises Occupational Therapist Assistants, therapy aides and therapy students as needed
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy
  • Must have one year experience as an Occupational Therapist (geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred)
  • Must have current license to practice Occupational Therapy in facility-specific state
  • Must have current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Must have current certification in Basic Life Support
  • Reliable transportation required
