Description

We are seeking an experienced Class III Solderer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs) and components to meet the rigorous Class III IPC standards. Class III standards are required for products with long shelf lives and high reliability, such as those used in aerospace, medical, and military applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-precision soldering on PCBs and components in accordance with Class III IPC standards.
  • Ensure that all soldering work meets or exceeds the quality requirements for long-term reliability and performance.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate soldering.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of solder joints using magnification tools and other inspection equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot soldering defects or issues, making necessary adjustments to achieve quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and quality procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address any issues and improve processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on soldering equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
  • Several years of experience in soldering PCBs and components, with a focus on high-reliability applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in meeting Class III IPC soldering standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Experience with inspection tools and techniques for verifying solder quality.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for soldering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in aerospace, medical, or military applications.
  • Certification or training in IPC Class III soldering.
  • Knowledge of advanced soldering techniques and technologies.
Working Conditions:
  • Primarily indoor environment with standard manufacturing conditions.
  • May involve standing for extended periods and working with small components.
  • Use of magnification tools and precision equipment.
