Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:
ameriCARE in Birmingham is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for the afternoon shift (4:00-8:00pm). This is a part-time hourly healthcare/medical job located in the Lake Cyrus Neighborhood in Hoover, AL. As a CNA, you will provide excellent client care and support. This is an individual contributor role where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients. The compensation for this position is $16 per hour, paid weekly.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing team
- Assist with the transfer and positioning of patients
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
- Document patient care and observations accurately and timely
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment
