Position Summary: Provide high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care and coordinate patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and families. Communicate the patient's clinical condition and demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan. Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Education/Certification: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have and maintain a current Registered Nurse license. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications within specific timelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications and document the nursing process and responses to care
  • Implement teaching plans for patients and families and pursue personal and professional growth
  • Monitor patient status, interpret results, and utilize critical thinking skills in priority setting and delegation
  • Utilize triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care to patients
  • Maintain clinical competence and awareness of all policies and procedures
