Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) provides high-quality, patient-centered care and takes charge of all unit functions. Collaborating closely with the management team, the CNC oversees and evaluates nursing care per established guidelines. As a resource to the staff, the CNC plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional patient experience.
In our Progressive Care unit, you will care for acutely ill patients who have complex healthcare needs outside of intensive care.
About this unit:
- A 24-bed unit where RNs take pride in their work.
- You will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment filled with critical thinkers.
- Work with a variety of patients, including those with trauma, stroke, cardiac issues, and other critical care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and provide tailored, high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
- Work alongside subject matter experts and leadership to enhance outcomes and service delivery.
- Coach and provide feedback to staff to promote performance and engagement.
- Assist with scheduling for nursing staff.
Qualifications Needed:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a Diploma in Nursing.
Research Medical Center is a 585+ bed facility providing a wide range of medical services, including women's services, an emergency room, and a trauma center. We are part of HCA Midwest Health, encompassing ten hospitals in the Kansas City area.
