Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7 am - 7 pm Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years of experience (Must have Med/Tele experience preferred) License: Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside, or meet the licensure requirements in your home state if declaring a National License Compact state as your primary state of residency. For non-National License Compact states, a current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner is required in the state where the RN works. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider status according to American Heart Association standards.- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.- Ability to speak, read, and write English.- Scrub color: Navy blue.- RTO not approved for Labor Day Weekend (Fri-Mon), Halloween, and only one holiday for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Year Eve. Job Description: - Collect data pertinent to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.- Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnoses, problems, and issues.- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.- Implement the identified plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.- Delegate elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or policy parameters or principles.- Evaluate progress toward the attainment of goals and outcomes.- Practice in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.- Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.- Collaborate with healthcare consumers and other key stakeholders in the conduct of nursing practice.- Demonstrate leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.- Seek knowledge and competence that reflect current nursing practice and promote futuristic thinking.- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.- Contribute to quality nursing practice.- Evaluate one's own and others' nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.- Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence-based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.- Practice ethically.- Promote shared governance, facility decision-making activities, developing and nurturing research to positively affect clinical outcomes and promotion.- Physically able to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull, and must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.- Maintain an intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch, finger dexterity, critical thinking, and the ability to concentrate and respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
