Vaco Boston has partnered with our client that is seeking a Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements

• Manage monthly and other period end (monthly, quarterly, and annual) accounting close cycles

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations

• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact financial reporting

• Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures

• Lead and support the timely and efficient completion of annual audit including coordinating the provision of information to external auditors

• Maintain effective communication and coordination with other functional departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of information required for financial analysis.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field. MBA and CPA strongly preferred

• Public company experience preferred

• Expertise is US GAAP

• Demonstrates thought leadership, team player and experience participating with a small team

• Strong analytical/quantitative and communication skills
