The Lutheran Home is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) to join our day shift. As a CNA in our health center, you will play a crucial role in providing direct care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Come join our experienced healthcare team and help us to achieve our goals of service, dignity and excellence.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Answer residents' calls and take appropriate action.
  • Assist with daily personal care functions.
  • Assist with the feeding of residents.
  • Assist in turning and positioning of residents.
  • Transfer residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention as indicated on the care plan.
  • Perform skin checks and notify the nurse of any abnormalities in skin integrity.
  • Helps keep residents' rooms clean and supplied.
  • Make/change beds (unoccupied and occupied).
  • Ambulate residents who require minimal assistance.
  • Weigh residents using upright, chair and mechanical lift scale.
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge for safe use of medical equipment
  • Communicate residents' requests or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Immediately report any abuse, neglect, and/or changes in resident's conditions or incidents to the nurse.
In this full-time position you will have a set 2-week schedule with every other weekend off, working 7 out of 14 calendar days. We are hiring for our day shift working the hours of 6:45 am - 7:15 pm.

Requirements:
  • Current Missouri CNA Certification
  • Minimum age of 18
