Schedule: Monday- Friday - 11:30pm - 8pm
Location: Wilton, CT

Description
• Supports radiologists and site managers by providing performance data for MRI technologist

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes by performing the following duties:
• Screens patient for MRI safety compatibility according to client policy and procedures.
• Obtains clinical information pertaining to the exam to be performed and inputs all information appropriately.
• Technologist is responsible for screening patients according to contrast guidelines.
• Proper positioning of patient, coil usage, and technical factors are required along with following protocols requested by Radiologist.
• Superior knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI technology.
• Proper communication between technologist and patient during exam to ensure patient cooperation and safety.
• Correct patient identification entered into scanner and patient chart, along with anatomical orientation specified.
• Consistent visual monitoring of patient through window of control room and on closed circuit TV screen to monitor patient safety and comfort.
• Technologist is responsible for reviewing images for correct anatomical, technical, and quality factors.
• MRI technologist is responsible for the safety of all individuals and objects entering the MRI department.
• Responsible for performing daily and weekly Quality Assurance checks and documenting the results in designated book.
• The equipment used is a GE Signa Pioneer (3T)

Requirements
• Understanding and knowledge of RIS/PACS software
• ARRT (RT)(MR) and CT State License required
• 1 years clinical experience in all MRI procedure types preferred
• EMR - Epic
