SCOPE OF POSITION

As a Plastic Surgeon at EMER Medical, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our Surgical Department by delivering outstanding surgical outcomes, providing personalized patient care, and contributing to the overall growth and reputation of our practice. POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Plastic Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures with precision, skill, and compassion. Your role will encompass both surgical and non-surgical interventions aimed at enhancing the appearance and improving the quality of life for our patients. You will collaborate closely with our team of medical professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment planning, seamless coordination of care, and exceptional patient experiences from consultation through post-operative follow-up.

Your contributions as a Plastic Surgeon will be instrumental in shaping the success and reputation of our Practice. By delivering exceptional surgical outcomes, fostering patient satisfaction, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct, you will help to establish our practice as a trusted destination for individuals seeking top-quality aesthetic and reconstructive surgical services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures with precision and expertise.
  • Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their desires and medical history.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to meet each patient's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure optimal surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in plastic surgery through continuous education and training.
  • Collaborate effectively with other medical professionals and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Drive revenue growth by building and maintaining a loyal clientele base.
  • Utilize social media platforms and digital marketing strategies to enhance the clinic's online presence and attract new patients.
  • Participate in promotional events, seminars, and workshops to promote the clinic's services and expertise.

Patient Consultations and Education:

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients to understand their aesthetic concerns, goals, and medical history.
  • Educate patients about the various surgical and non-surgical options available to address their concerns, including potential risks and benefits.
  • Answer patients' questions and address any concerns they may have to ensure they feel informed and confident in their decision-making process.

Surgical Procedures:

  • Perform a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures with precision and expertise, including but not limited to:
  • Breast augmentation, reduction, and reconstruction
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Facelifts, eyelid surgery, and brow lifts
  • Liposuction, tummy tucks, and body contouring
  • Skin grafts and scar revision surgeries
  • Utilize advanced surgical techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to achieve optimal surgical outcomes while minimizing risks and complications.

Pre-operative and Post-operative Care:

  • Provide thorough pre-operative assessments and preparation instructions to ensure patients are well-prepared for surgery.
  • Perform surgical procedures with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to best practices for patient safety and comfort.
  • Monitor patients closely during the post-operative period, providing appropriate pain management, wound care, and follow-up appointments to ensure a smooth recovery process.
  • Address any post-operative concerns or complications promptly and effectively, collaborating with other medical professionals as needed to optimize patient outcomes.

Continuing Education and Professional Development:

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements and techniques in plastic surgery through ongoing education, training courses, and participation in professional conferences and seminars.
  • Maintain active membership in relevant professional organizations and societies to network with peers and stay informed about industry trends and best practices.

Building and Maintaining Clientele:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with patients by providing personalized care, demonstrating empathy, and delivering exceptional results.
  • Develop strategies to attract new patients and retain existing ones, including through word-of-mouth referrals, physician referrals, and online marketing efforts.
  • Utilize social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, to showcase before-and-after photos, patient testimonials, and educational content to engage with current and prospective patients and drive patient traffic to the clinic.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Collaborate effectively with other medical professionals, including nurses, anesthesiologists, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless coordination of care and exceptional patient experiences.
  • Assist Dr. Emer in any of his needs including but not limited to helping on the floor, pitching in for sales/calling clients, in the OR, assisting in treatments, etc.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to facilitate comprehensive treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration for complex cases.

Compliance and Ethical Conduct:

  • Adhere to all legal and ethical standards governing the practice of medicine and plastic surgery, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and professional integrity.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records/documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and clinic policies.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and courteous response to patient inquiries and concerns, seeking guidance from senior staff when necessary.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to facilitate collaborative treatment planning and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Adhere strictly to patient rights and Privacy Rule regulations, overseeing staff adherence to HIPAA standards in all patient interactions and record-keeping processes.
  • Take initiative to stay updated on advancements in surgical techniques, technologies, and products relevant to plastic surgery through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient encounters, including consultations, surgeries, and follow-up visits, to ensure comprehensive documentation and continuity of care.
  • Exemplify professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues, consistently upholding the reputation and standards of Dr. Emer's practice.
  • Demonstrate openness to feedback, actively seek opportunities for personal and professional growth, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the practice.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by senior management to support the efficient operation and success of the practice.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Plastic Surgery.
  • Valid state medical license.
  • Proven experience as a Plastic Surgeon, with a strong track record of successful surgeries and satisfied patients.
  • Excellent surgical skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales performance tracking tools.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Team collaboration and strong sense of professionalism in the workplace.
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and establish long-term relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to drive revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms for marketing purposes.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care, safety, and ethical conduct.
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • Ability to stay focused to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience in a medical or aesthetic practice is advantageous.
