Position Summary:
The Event Sales Director, reporting to the Club's general manager, is responsible for leading and
managing the catering sales team, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional client
satisfaction. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, building strong client relationships,
and overseeing the execution of catering events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership
skills, a deep understanding of the catering and hospitality industry, and a proven track record in
sales and event management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Sales Strategy and Planning**
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Create and manage annual sales budgets and forecasts.
2. **Client Relationship Management**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, event planners, and corporate partners.
- Conduct regular client meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored catering
solutions.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
3. **Team Leadership and Development**
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the catering sales team to achieve individual and team goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing training and development
opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
4. **Event Coordination and Execution**
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Oversee the planning and coordination of large-scale events, ensuring all details are managed
effectively.
- Address any issues that arise during events to ensure client satisfaction.
5. **Marketing and Promotion**
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote catering services.
- Utilize social media, digital marketing, and traditional marketing channels to reach target
audiences.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
6. **Financial Management**
- Monitor and manage the catering sales budget, including expenses and revenue tracking.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize profitability.
- Prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
7. **Administrative Duties**
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and event details.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
- Manage CRM software and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field or
equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in catering sales or a related field, with at least 3 years in a
leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

About the Organization
Lahn Hospitality Group is a growing family-owned company comprised of a variety of hospitality businesses including amusement parks, a hotel, restaurants, bars, golf courses and more.
Since 1997 The Funplex has owned and operated an amusement park company with three locations along the East Coast. Two locations are in New Jersey with one additional small footprint park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina which opened in 2021. The parks are a combination of family-friendly and thrill amusement rides, waterparks, bowling centers, and arcades.
In December 2021, Lahn Hospitality Group purchased The Legacy Club in Cherry Hill, NJ, a country club with a prestigious golf course and membership. The club underwent significant renovation including a new restaurant, atrium event facility, and much more. In the fall of 2023 LHAG opened its first dual branded hotel, La Quinta and Hawthorn Suites, complete with 125 rooms and the first in the area to combine two different Wyndham brands.
