Our client is currently seeking an Automation Engineer.    Job Duties: The Automation Engineer will be interfacing with customers to meet their various custom specifications and working in the Electrical Engineering team to design and program PLC and HMI hardware. Perform quoting, design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and evaluation of automation systems. Interact with internal staff and shop floor personnel, as required, in the performance of job responsibilities. Work closely with the customer to finalize system design, controls package, and operator interface. Perform Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test. Interface with customers to meet expectations. Provide expert technical advice on PLC’s and HMI’s to customer. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology 5 years of Automation & Controls Engineering experience Demonstrated expertise in designing control systems for robotic cells and other industrial processes. HMI and PLC Programming – Siemens, Allen Bradley Able to interface with customers and provide technical support. Must be hands-on, self-motivated, and work well with team members and customers Able to travel up to 30% (or as needed) and work in an on-call rotation Preferred: Perform the aspects of quoting, design, implementation, testing, commissioning, and evaluation of automation systems Experience or ability to perform Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test Familiarity with SCADA systems Knowledge of industrial communication protocols Understanding of industry standards and regulations Project management skills Ability in software development or scripting languages Experience with robotics and motion control systems Pay Range: $85 – 100k, depending on experience For more information, please Apply, and/or email a copy of your resume to Beka Cassidy at BCassidy@Selectek.com.
