Locums OB/GYN Need in Virginia

  • Coverage Needed:
    • Up to 11 days per month
    • 24 Hour call coverage
    • July :00 am - July :00 am
    • July :00 am - July :00 am
  • Clinical Information:
    • Hospital setting
    • Patients ages: Adult
    • Average 11 patients per day
    • 3-7 Deliveries per day
    • Support staff: facility nursing unit staffing
    • EMR: Meditech for inpatient, eCW for outpatient
    • On-site inpatient rounding and evening call coverage
    • May need to be available to field emergent questions from two office NPs
      • Office NPs may request that the locums be prepared to handle a delivery, c-section or other complications requiring the patient to present in the inpatient setting
      • Scenarios will likely be rare
    • Cover ER consults, floor consults, L&D, deliveries, emergent procedures, etc.
    • Must be available by phone within 5 minutes of being called by hospital
    • If needed on-site, must present on-site within 15 minutes of phone call
  • Required:
    • DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
    • Current Flu Vaccine
    • Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
      • Exemptions only allowed for religious or medical reasons, once approved by the facility.
    • Board Certified/ Board Eligible
    • Active VA License
