Job Summary:
  • The Sonographer/Ultrasound Tech; performs medical sonograms, exercises professional judgment in performance procedures and provides safe patient care.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Minimum of 12 months of continuing education or practical experience in ultrasound
Experience:
  • One year of practical experience preferred
License and Certifications:
  • Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or in process of obtaining certification
  • Current American Heart Association's BLS/CPR certification on hire or within orientation period
Skills & Abilities:
  • Competent in the use of a computer and computer systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
