Description of the role

The Vocational Occupational Therapist will be responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities in developing skills and strategies to succeed in the workplace. They will assess clients' abilities and limitations, create personalized treatment plans, and provide guidance and support throughout the rehabilitation process.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate clients' vocational needs and identify barriers to employment
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services to clients, including job coaching and training
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and employers to ensure successful transitions to work
  • Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Florida
  • Experience working as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a vocational setting
  • Strong knowledge of vocational rehabilitation principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities
