CT Technologist IPhiladelphia, PA10/12/2024Schedule Notes: 12 weeks max 8-4:30 for CT would be great. Monday - Friday. We cannot do weekends Pediatric experience is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience is required. Job Details:
Perform computed tomography techniques and examinations
• Conducts a variety of computed tomography (CT) procedures including assisting radiologists with biopsies, cardiac CT, CT Angiograms, and post-processing.
Produce computed tomography scans for diagnostic interpretation
• Operate CT equipment and select technical factors
• Responsible for proper identification on images, including both identification and demographic information 100% of the time.
• Document all related data.
• Provide radiation protection for patients, families, staff, the general public and self.
Other Responsibilities
• Identify, process, transfer and archive patient exams including exam records, images and patient demographics.
• Maintain the integrity and security of the radiology information systems.
• Resolve and escalate complex issues.
• Orient and train fellow staff technologists.
• Develop and deliver training and in-service presentations.
• Subject to on-call status including weekends and holidays.
• Other shifts as assigned
• All other duties as assigned
  • Basic knowledge of computed tomography imaging
  • Basic knowledge of picture archiving and communication systems (PACS)
  • Basic knowledge of radiology information systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
  • Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office) including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Education: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) issued through on organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross). Required.
  • Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) within 12 months of the start date.
  • Required Education: High School Diploma / GED
  • Technical Diploma from a Radiology Program Required
  • Pediatric experience highly preferred
  • Level 4 worker
