The ideal candidate will provide individualized and group therapy sessions, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with staff, families, and service providers to ensure student success. The Speech Language Pathologist will also play a key role in designing and maintaining assistive technology and therapeutic equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops, implements and monitors high-quality therapy programs for individual and group therapy sessions.Designs, fabricates, adjusts or makes minor repairs to therapeutic equipment for individual students; suggests and monitors provision of appropriate assistive technology.Develops educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives; completes daily notes Works collaboratively with professional staff using a team-based approach.Provides supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses.Collaborates closely with families to support the students.QUALIFICATIONS: New Jersey Department of Education Certification as Speech/Language Specialist or eligible for emergency certification. Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited university and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Clinical Fellows accepted.
