Job Summary: As a Virtualization Engineer, you'll be responsible for physical and virtual platforms, server build deployments, server virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, and more.
The starting salary is $150-170k (negotiable). This is a full-time, permanent position that requires an active secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build virtual environment service models, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements for application virtualization and distribution.
  • Design, implement, and maintain VMware vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN.
  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develop system architecture and system design documentation.
  • Interact with the government regarding technical considerations and resolve associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables within the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
  • Proficiency in configuring and optimizing virtual machines, storage, and networking.
  • Experience with configuring virtual switches and VLAN's.
  • VMware Certified Professional certification.
