Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Medical Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for determining the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria, performing routine and complex technical procedures and functions, and monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. They will also be expected to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving, prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls, and report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care. Other duties include performing and documenting preventive maintenance and quality control procedures, identifying and replenishing testing bench supplies as necessary, and assisting with processing of specimens when needed. The successful candidate will maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Hard Skills Minimum 4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience ASCP certified preferred Generalist Soft Skills Ability to make technical decisions Problem-solving Ability to deliver quality patient care Preventive maintenance and quality control procedures Able to identify and replenish testing bench supplies Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Work Environment The position is located within Ascension Rutherford Hospital.
